How Kärna Works

The loop that makes Kärna smarter the more you train.

A template is a reusable workout plan — the exercises, sets, reps and rest you want to hit. Think of it as your recipe. You can:

  • Build one from scratch in the Templates tab
  • Let Kärna generate one for you from a natural-language prompt ("make me a 3-day push-pull-legs split")
  • Use one of the starter templates Kärna built during your onboarding

Templates are grouped by type: Strength, Cardio, Flexibility, Activation, or Hybrid. The more variety you log, the more complete your progress picture becomes.

Tip: Cardio counts. Jump rope, rowing, a treadmill session — all of it feeds into your conditioning score on the progress page.
